Donate money to help those impacted by the wildfires and
the Howard G. Buffett Foundation will double your gift!
The ranching families and businesses devastated by the recent historic wildfires need your help to rebuild. Donate to the Drovers/Farm Journal Foundation Million Dollar Wildfire Relief Challenge before July 31, 2017, and, thanks to the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, your gift will go twice as far! The Foundation has generously pledged up to $1 million in matching funds, meaning all monetary donations that are made to the Challenge by July 31 will be matched 100%, dollar for dollar.
That’s right: Make your monetary donation between now and July 31 and the Howard G. Buffett Foundation will double it. More than 97% of all donations will go directly to those impacted by the fires. The only other expense involved is the small fee charged for processing online payments.
The ranchers’ needs are many, and expensive. Some 18,000 miles of fence were lost in the March wildfires, which will cost up to $10,000 per mile to replace. That’s a staggering $180 million for fencing alone.
“None of us thought the fire had the breadth and scope to do what it did.”
– Greg Gardiner, fourth-generation cattleman, Gardiner Angus Ranch
